Time Strategies

I read three articles: The Important Habit of Just Starting, How to Build a Realistic Study Plan that You'll Actually Stick To, and 11 Ways Unsuccessful People Mismanage their Time. As a naturally very disorganized person, I have adopted time management strategies already, without which I would be a complete train wreck. Although the suggestions in the articles were not new to me, it is nice to have a refresher every once in a while.

I manage my time very efficiently by a) keeping a detailed agenda (pictured above), b) working on my projects in very small chunks, and c) writing down everything - even things that most people may not have to schedule into their day, like showering or checking the mail. I also divide my planner between class assignments and ongoing projects (on the right half of each day) and other tasks (on the left). In this class in particular, I am not worried about time management, because I will be able to stay on track using the time estimates for assignments, and working far ahead of schedule.

  1. Hi Natalie,

I have recently been struggling with time management. There just does not seem to be enough hours in the day where I have energy to be productive! I really do need to get myself an agenda, so I can write everything down. I just need to find the time to actually set one of those up for myself because I am sure they are super handy to have! I could also benefit from working on my projects in more bite-sized pieces instead of all at once. Thanks for the tips!
